Why Las Vegas Is One of My Favorite Places to Visit

When I tell people I love Las Vegas, they usually assume it's because of the casinos.

It isn't.

In fact, gambling is probably one of the least interesting things about Vegas to me.

What I love about Las Vegas is that there is always something to do.

No matter how many times I visit, I never run out of things to explore.

One day I might be exploring Red Rock Canyon, surrounded by stunning desert landscapes that feel completely different from anything I see back home.

The next day I could be catching a show on the Strip, wandering through the immersive wonderland that is Area15, getting tattoos with friends, or spending entirely too much time shopping.

And let's talk about the shopping.

Because if shopping were an Olympic sport, Las Vegas would be a training facility.

Luxury stores. Outlet malls. Quirky boutiques. Massive shopping centers.

Whatever you're looking for, chances are Vegas has it.

One of the things I love most about the area is how many incredible day trips are within reach.

The Hoover Dam is nearby.

The Grand Canyon isn't far away.

And somehow, despite being surrounded by desert, I've even gone pumpkin picking.

Yes. Pumpkin picking. In the desert.

I know how ridiculous that sounds. But trust me, it's adorable.

I've gone twice, and it's become one of my favorite unexpected Vegas traditions. Between the pumpkins, fall decorations, and absolutely delicious apple cider doughnuts, it feels like stepping into a completely different world.

And then there's the food. Oh, the food.

Vegas might be one of my favorite cities to eat my way through.

I've had incredible French toast at Bardot Brasserie.

Fresh pasta and gelato from Eataly.

Fancy meals that felt like experiences.

And sometimes? An In-N-Out burger that hit the spot after a long day of exploring.

That's one of the things I appreciate most about Las Vegas.

You can have a five-star meal one day and a drive-thru burger the next, and both feel equally right.

The city doesn't take itself too seriously. And neither do I.

But if I'm being honest, the biggest reason Las Vegas will always have a special place in my heart has nothing to do with the attractions.

One of my best friends in the world lives there.

Back in 2017, I helped drive her belongings across the country during what became one of the most memorable road trips of my life.

There is something about visiting a place where some of your favorite memories already exist. A weekend trip for a baby shower. Getting Lost. Dressing up. Tea. And Tattoos.

Every trip feels a little bit like coming home.

The restaurants, the landmarks, the shows, and the adventures are wonderful.

But sharing them with someone you love makes them unforgettable.

That's why Las Vegas will always be more than a vacation destination for me.

It's a place filled with memories, friendship, laughter, and stories that span nearly a decade.

Sure, the city has world-class entertainment, incredible food, and endless things to do.

But my favorite thing about Las Vegas has always been the person waiting for me when I get there.
